A LEGACY OF INDUSTRY LEADERSHIP
1984
Cycom Data Systems got its start in 1984. Where many other companies considered government to be an “add-on” to their offerings, Cycom’s CityLaw and CountyLaw were tailor-made for that purpose, and served city and county law departments across the country for over 40 years. CityLaw NG (Next Generation) is their latest offering utilizing industry best practices, re-engineered for today’s security and lightweight front-end needs.
1989
Founded in Philadelphia in 1989, LegalEdge Software developed a highly configurable and customizable, commercial off-the-shelf system designed to meet the diverse needs of both civil and criminal divisions. For 15 years, LegalEdge has focused exclusively on the public sector, providing robust case management systems to city & county attorneys, prosecutors, public defenders, government agencies, school districts, and tribal governments across the United States. The company’s experience spans implementations across more than 150 jurisdictions nationwide, ranging in size up to 500 users.
1994
Judicial Dialog Systems was launched in 1994, and quickly became one of the nation’s leading providers of prosecution case management software. Its flagship product, Prosecutor Dialog, was designed by active prosecutors working hand-in-hand with company developers. At one point, over 200 offices around the country used the software every day, including statewide in Utah, West Virginia, Georgia, New Hampshire and Missouri.
2024
In 2024, LegalEdge was acquired by Waxman Ventures, a private equity firm based in Miami, Florida, as part of a strategic roll-up with Judicial Dialog Systems.
2025
In 2025, LegalEdge further expanded with the acquisition of Cycom Data Systems, Inc.
